The advisor is designed to extend early-warning systems into daily communication tools. By providing localized, evidence-based alerts and connecting users to trusted meteorological services, it strengthens preparedness and helps communities respond more effectively to extreme weather.

Over the coming months, these teams will compete for the final prize and the opportunity to implement their solution on the ground, with a clear pathway to transition ownership to relevant country stakeholders.
